Welcome to Guitarbuzz.com! Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jeff J. Findley, and I am a professional guitarist and instructor. I have spent the last 15 years studying and playing with some of the finest musicians in the world. I have many years of experience including live and studio work with many bands, and I am a graduate of the Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. From the time I first started playing I was intrigued with the notion of being an instructor. Today I enjoy a great deal of success getting through to people of all ages and abilities, and with this website I hope to reach an even broader audience. It brings me a great deal of joy to pass on what I have learned, and I hope that you enjoy your visit.

I wanted to take a minute to give you and idea of what some of the different sections of this website are all about. First of all, the Lessons link will take you to a series of lessons aimed at the beginner to intermediate player. All of the lessons are notated in either tablature or standard notation, and thanks to the magic of Macromedia Flash you can also hear them, and in some cased animation will be used. The Tuner is for everyone, and it's purpose is to keep your guitar in tune! The Jam Tracks page is also a favorite. Just click on the style of music you wish to play along with, and you can play along till the cops come over. These are just a few of the features on this site, and there is a lot more to come.

In no way do I think that online (or mail-order) guitar lessons could ever fully take the place of a weekly visit with a good teacher, but there are some advantages to this format, mostly the fact that the lessons are always available for review. Also, in addition to regularly posting brand new lessons, I will be updating and revising the old ones constantly, a feature that is obviously unavailable in books and magazines. I have always encouraged all of my students to acquire knowledge from as many sources as they can get their hands on. That includes private lessons, magazines, your cd collection, and from quality online guitar lessons. This world is full of opportunities for growth, and I hope that you give me the opportunity to be a source of quality instruction for you!
